We’re proud to be a truly local builder that puts community at the heart of everything we do — working with skilled tradespeople from the area and using locally sourced materials wherever possible. This approach not only strengthens the local economy but ensures that every home we build is crafted with genuine care and expertise.

Built to the Highest Standards

Every Axeus home is constructed and finished to meet the highest UK building standards, blending thoughtful design with long-lasting quality. From foundation to finish, our homes are built to last — and to live in beautifully.

For added peace of mind, all of our homes come with a 10-year Structural Warranty from Premier Guarantee. This provides comprehensive protection against structural defects caused by either workmanship or material failure.

Smarter Homes

For a Greener Future

At Axeus, we believe in building homes that are ready for tomorrow. That’s why we incorporate the latest technologies to enhance your comfort, reduce your energy bills, and support a more sustainable lifestyle. Many of our homes include:

  • Air Source Heat Pumps
  • Photovoltaic (PV) Solar Panels
  • EV Charging Points
  • Package Treatment Plants
  • Borehole Water Systems (in select locations)

A Package Treatment Plant (often called a Sewage Treatment Plant) is a compact, all-in-one system designed to treat wastewater from homes or small developments that aren’t connected to the mains sewer system — which is often the case in rural areas.

Here’s how it works in simple terms:

  1. Wastewater In
All the wastewater from toilets, showers, sinks, and appliances flows into the plant.
  2. Treatment Process
Inside the plant, a combination of natural biological processes and mechanical components breaks down the waste. This typically involves:
    • Primary treatment (solids settle)
    • Aeration (bacteria break down organic matter)
    • Final settlement (remaining solids settle again)
  3. Clean Water Out
The treated water that comes out is clean enough to be safely discharged into a watercourse (like a stream) or a soakaway/drainage field — meeting environmental regulations.

Why use one?

  • Ideal for rural or off-grid homes with no access to mains sewage.
  • Eco-friendly – significantly reduces environmental impact.
  • Low maintenance and long lifespan with proper care.

An air source heat pump (ASHP) is a heating and cooling system that transfers heat between your home and the outside air. It works like a refrigerator in reverse.

How It Works:

An ASHP operates using the refrigeration cycle, which involves four main steps:

  1. Absorbs heat from outside air, even in cold temperatures.
  2. A refrigerant captures this heat and is compressed, increasing its temperature.
  3. The hot refrigerant releases heat indoors through a coil or air handler.
  4. The refrigerant then cools and returns outside to absorb more heat.

Why Have One?

1. High Efficiency = Lower Bills

  • For every unit of electricity used, it can deliver 2–4 units of heat.
  • Cheaper to run than oil, propane, or electric resistance systems.

2. Environmentally Friendly

  • No combustion: reduces CO₂ emissions.
  • Even greener when powered by renewable electricity.

3. Low Maintenance & Long Life

  • Less mechanical wear than combustion systems.
  • Can last 15–20 years with simple annual maintenance.

Photovoltaic (PV) panels, commonly known as solar panels, are devices that convert sunlight directly into electricity using the photovoltaic effect. They’re typically installed on rooftops or in open areas with good sun exposure.

How PV Panels Work:

  1. Sunlight hits the PV cells, usually made of silicon.
  2. This excites electrons, creating an electric current.
  3. The direct current (DC) is sent to an inverter, which converts it into alternating current (AC)—the type of electricity your home uses.
  4. That electricity powers your home, and excess energy can often be sent back to the grid (net metering).

Why Use PV Panels?

1. Lower Electricity Bills

  • Generate your own power, reducing your reliance on the grid.
  • Can save thousands over the system’s lifetime.

2. Clean, Renewable Energy

  • Solar energy is zero-emission and helps combat climate change.
  • Reduces your carbon footprint significantly.

3. Increased Home Value

  • Homes with solar often sell faster and at higher prices.

4. Pair with Batteries for Backup

  • With a battery system you can store energy for use at night or during power outages.

5. Low Maintenance & Long Lifespan

  • Little maintenance required beyond occasional cleaning.

Panels can last 25–30 years or more.
